Thai Johnson was born and raised in Victoria, TX. At the age of 13, she began volunteering at a local Zoo where she was given the opportunity to hand raise and train some of the zoo animals used in the educational classes. At 16, Thai signed on as an employee of the zoo and continued her work as a zookeeper/handler. After completing high school, Thai moved to Austin to continue her work in the animal field. She worked as a vet tech at local veterinary hospitals until she became a surgery technician at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital. This was where she found her true calling in the field of Animal Rehab. Thai completed the certification program at the University of Tennessee in 2007 and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner along with the Rehabilitation Director at CTVSH. Thai continues to expand her knowledge of animal rehab by attending continuing education classes at A&M University as well as the yearly Symposium on Therapeutic Advances in Animal Rehabilitation in Florham Park, NJ. In her free time Thai enjoys spending time grilling at home with her family and her own pack of pooches, working in the yard, and attending live music shows and festivals.
