About Us

Our Mission: Through collaboration and teamwork, CTVSEH will become a unified and well-managed provider of advanced veterinary care as evidenced by clearly defined policies, procedures, and standard operating systems. The result will be personal accountability and exceptional morale for all team members.

Elevating Veterinary Care since 1995

Founded in 1995, Central Texas Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital (CTVSEH) was created by Drs. Beardsley, Kerpsack, and Theisen to bring advanced veterinary care to Central Texas. After completing their specialty training at The Ohio State University, they returned to Austin, Texas, to make their vision a reality.

Starting in a 3,000 sq. ft. clinic, the team’s dedication quickly fueled growth. In 2000, they expanded into a 12,000 sq. ft. South Austin facility, and by 2010, a 13,000 sq. ft. Round Rock location was added, introducing cutting-edge treatments like MRI, CT scans, endoscopy, and orthopedic surgery.

In 2017, CTVSEH merged with Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin, strengthening 24/7 emergency and specialty services across both locations.

Today, CTVSEH remains committed to compassionate, expert care, ensuring every pet receives the best treatment possible—a vision that continues to thrive.
