Headshot - Kate Barnes

Dr. Barnes grew up in Connecticut and attended Bowdoin College and Southern CT State University for her undergraduate education. She obtained her DVM from Oregon State University and quickly realized her passion for pursuing a career in small animal surgery. After graduation, she completed a 1-year small animal rotating internship at Cornell University, followed by a small animal surgery residency at Virginia Tech. She and her husband enjoy spending time chasing after their 2 children and snuggling with their cat, Juice Box.
