Bio: Growing up in Bengaluru, India, my love for animals was evident from an early age. Rescuing stray dogs as a child and caring for my beloved dog Dingo set me on a clear path toward veterinary medicine. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from Veterinary College, Bengaluru, India, and it was during those years that I discovered my passion for both surgery and obstetrics. Pursuing that calling, I completed postgraduate studies in Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology & Obstetrics at Mumbai Veterinary College, India, where I trained under esteemed professors and developed deep expertise as a theriogenologist and obstetrician. My research on canine andrology was recognized with the ‘Best Article Certificate of Issue’ from Acta Scientific Publications in 2023, a milestone that reinforced my commitment to advancing veterinary knowledge. Since then, I have gained broad clinical experience across home veterinary visits, shelter medicine, relief work, and a large hospital setting, and most recently completed my clinical year at University of Pennsylvania College of Veterinary Medicine (PennVet) and achieved veterinary educational equivalence through the PAVE program. Outside of work, I am an avid collector of hobbies — current pursuits include writing, cooking, baking, crocheting, needle punching, trekking and yoga, alongside frequent trips down rabbit holes on whatever topic has most recently captured my curiosity. I am also eagerly looking forward to adopting a senior dog or a cat in need of a home, a small reflection of the same love for animals that started this journey.
